Fly to Athens

Many worldwide airlines fly direct to and from Athens. You’ll find flights from Athens with airlines like Aegean Airlines, Qatar Airways, Emirates, Delta Air Lines, British Airways, Canada Air, Air France, MEA (Middle East Airlines), Lufthansa, Royal Jordanian, Turkish Airlines, Iberia, Air China, Air Europa, and more.

Welcome in Athens! Once you arrive at the Athens International Airport you will need to get on board of a ferry or a cruiser at Piraeus port to reach Spetses. To board your vessel, you need to cover the 50-km (31-miles) distance between the two transport hubs. And there are several convenient ways to do so.

Taxi service between Athens airport and Piraeus port.

Taxi is the best option for getting from the airport of Athens to the port of Piraeus. Yellow taxis provide fast and reliable transfers.

Usually, taxis travel between the destinations around 40 minutes. You can find the airport taxi station at the Arrivals section, exit 3. Cabs are available 24 hours, 7 days a week, and drivers speak English.  Yellow taxis charge the flat rate of €54 during the day (5 am – midnight) and €70 during the night.

From Piraeus, GATE E9, there are frequent Flying Dolphin and Catamaran departures to the port of Spetses. Check out the schedules at www.hellenicseaways.gr and book online, or call +30 210 4199000. Passenger tickets cost €35 one way.

The trip lasts approximately 3 hours and the route is carried out by a high-speed vessel.
Spetses is also connected by ferry with Poros, Hydra and with some locations on the eastern coast of Peloponnese, such as Ermioni and Porto Heli.

Only the regular ferry carries motorcycles and bikes to Spetses. Private cars are not officially allowed on the island.
